Milanuncios wouldn’t be what it is today without the easy way users can publish ads for free on their Desktop computer. 10 years later 36% of those users come from mobile devices.
I had the privilege of redesigning the ‘Milanuncios’ Web app, without loosing the aesthetic quirky looks for which it’s known, evolving it into a more inclusive and warmer experience, solving the most important usability issues to support the ever increasing number of users on mobile devices. That’s about 30 million users a month.

Use the shortened version of the logo as an icon only in social networks, favicon, signature and in apps.
Colours
The main colors convey values of liveliness, character and complement the firmness of the gray color.
The air that must be breath is a clean chromaticism and not charged at all. That is why it is avoided to use very hard and dark colours as the main ones.
The contrast between the main colours complements the brand making it more alive and with character.
Colour ratio
The most commonly used colours are white and light grey, which generally act as backgrounds.
Dark green helps bring the design to life and give it a more dynamic touch.
In some applications, white space coexists or is replaces by the use of photography.
Typography
The main font you should use for all Milanuncios branded products and communications is Montserrat. It is a clean and friendly typeface.
In all cases where it is not possible to use Montserrat, such as Emails or Newsletters, you can use Verdana as secondary font.
Homepage
We maintain the main structure of the page. The header as the first level directed to “BUSINESS” with the most prominent points, “PUBLISH FREE ADS”, My ads, My favorites and Highlight your ad.
In second and third level according to importance we place the tools aimed at CLIENTS, the search engine, location by provinces and in third level all the areas through which we can search.
Ad publication
One of the key problems with Milanuncios was the lack of publications of new ads via mobile devices because of the usability issues. In order to get our users into the habit of using Milanuncios on mobile devices without frustration we redesigned the ‘publish new add’ flow.
